How it works
Idea to document.
In five steps.
Each step has one job, and a person checks the exact files before the template goes live.
Before you start.
- A Salesforce org, with a sandbox to try it in first
- People to write, make live and generate
- AI is optional
Author
Start in seconds.
Describe it with AI, pick a quick start, copy a template or start blank. Every way opens the same editor.
Your first document
Author
Write it like Word.
Type on the page and type @ for your Salesforce data. Add tables, totals and conditions, and choose a Brand Kit for the look.
The editor
Author
Prove it on a real record.
Docable makes the exact PDF and Word file from a real record, with anything to fix listed.
Proof and approval
Approver
Approval, when you want it.
A second person approves it first, unless you switch that off. A person then makes that exact version live. Earlier versions are kept, so you can roll back.

- Version 2Kept for roll back
- Version 1Kept
Document User
Make it. Once or thousands of times.
From a record, a list, a phone, Flow, a schedule, Apex, REST, Claude or Agentforce. PDF, Word or both, from the same data.
Automation

Who does what.
Each is one Docable role an admin gives in Docable Setup. Any number of people can hold each.
- Docable AdminInstalls Docable, gives each person a role, finishes setup in one click, and sets run mode, retention, AI and storage on Docable Setup.
- Template AuthorWrites templates and Brand Kits, with or without AI, and asks for proofs.
- ApproverMakes a template live, and approves it first if you use approval. By default, not the person who wrote it.
- Document UserMakes documents from records and automations, or builds the integration.
